Hi!
This forum has suffered from spambots for a long time, who kept registering and posting crap.
Today I've dived deep into the phpBB2-code and finally installed a spam protection, so I hope, the problem is solved now. People who want to register have to prove their Doom knowledge from now on 
Sorry for all the pestering.

For privacy reasons and to protect members from spam, the memberlist and user profiles are available only for registered users from now on.

hey, that's a nice idea! much better than having to have people pester admins to sign up 
you might want to speak to Duruss about it - or really i guess he should come find you...
i've taken on the job of cleanup over there and it's just an insane amount of crap to delete every day
