the nutty wad - change log
nutty v32 --> final release (31 May 2005)
-
Almost all maps had major changes or minor adjustments for this release.
nutty v29 --> v32 (24 April 2005)
-
The map order has been changed.
-
Two new maps by Cybershark: map 06 ("Decoy Ahoy!") where players are not the
only players, and 31 ("Nutzy Fortress"), the first of two Nuttystein maps, where Das Boot
has landed.
-
One new map by Milian (32, "Return to Nuttystein"), the nutty
finish to it all.
-
Map 03 ("Octopus's Garden") has new music.
-
Map 17 ("Sewage Processing Plant") has been rebuilt to make it easier.
-
Map 23 ("Schlachthaus") has been slightly changed.
-
Map 25 ("Pool of Blood") got some details added.
-
Map 26 ("Telefragging Spree") has a new sky.
-
Map 28 ("Wormholes"): the obstacles have been removed, after they
hindered the game too much
nutty v26 --> v29 (6 March 2005)
-
One new map by Milian (28, "Trampoline"), where players are jumping on a trampoline.
-
Two new maps by Cybershark: 27 ("Sewage Processing Plant"), providing
impressive technical ambience, and 29 ("Skyscraper Caper"), where
players are running on (and jumping between) partially constructed roads between skyscrapers.
-
The Soulsphere has been replaced by a... uhm... by a thing.
-
Map 03 ("Octopus's Garden"): Weapon placement has been changed
(Thanks Oddity, for the hint) and some details added.
-
Map 09 ("Hand of God") has a new sky.
-
Map 10 ("Chess Doom") has new music.
-
Map 14 ("The Vortex") has a new map layout.
-
Map 18 ("Wormholes"): added some decoration to prevent plasma and
rocket spamming.
-
Map 21 ("Pool of Blood"): change of weapon placement, deep water
added.
-
Map 24 ("Schlachthaus") has been reworked.
nutty v23 --> v26 (9 Feb. 2005)
-
The teleporting flash sprites have been changed.
-
The intermission pic has been changed.
-
Two new maps by Cybershark:
Map 24, "Schlachthaus", provides a mazy slaughterhouse and Map 26, "Moving Targets",
proves your aiming skills.
-
Two new maps by Milian:
"Octopus's Garden", an underwater map which replaces Map 03 ("No Way!") and
Map 25 ("Pitch into the Ditch"), a plain cottage room with a moving ditch.
-
Map 06 ("Darkroom") has new music.
-
Map 10 ("Chess Doom"): Another trial to make it easier. The rules are now
written on the walls.
-
Map 12 ("Chainsaw Massacre") has been slightly changed to make it faster.
-
Map 16 ("Stairway to Hell"): some wrong floor heights have been
adjusted.
-
Map 22 ("Through the Looking Glass") got some minor changes.
nutty v20 --> v23 (16 Jan. 2005)
-
Map 05 ("Telefragging Spree!") has been strongly reworked. The atmosphere
has completely changed. New texturing, new music, though gameplay remained the same :-)
-
Map 10 ("Chess Map") shows the rules at the beginning of the game.
Hopefully, this way the map will be easier for new players (update: doesn't work
in the current version of ZDaemon *GRRR*). The teleporting targets of
the green torches (to heavy weapons) have been changed, thus it's not so easy to guess
which weapon you will get.
-
Map 17 ("Pieces of Eight") has a new name: "Loops of Fury"
-
Cybershark went over map 19 ("The Pits") and reworked it entirely. It
has a new name ("The Sands of Time") and a completely new style.
-
A new map (22) by Milian, called "Through the Looking Glass", provides a
castle ambience with lots of confusing mirrors.
-
Cybershark contributes two new maps. One is playing in and around a swimming
pool (21, "Pool of Blood"), the second will be an ice-skating map
(23, "Skating Corpses").
-
The teleporting sound has been changed to a more subdued. The
"Knickers!"-deathsound has been replaced, after many players misunderstood
it.
