The maps from 2006 I've played so far, are exceptionally good. It seems to have been a good vintage for Doom mapping.
This map is very good work, too. It's quite small, but challenging, especially at the beginning when you still have to find enough ammo and the bigger weapons. But if you've come through the start and use the goodies cleverly, you'll have no bigger problem to manage it.
Besides the good gameplay, it's also very goodlooking. It's the well-known fortress style, but has many details.
