One consequence is that the ZodiacDM-server won´t collect experience until it´s got its old IP back. I´m sorry bout that. Then all our problems are gone But up to that time we will have to pray that the admins don´t catch me... I´m scanning the whole university ip block from time to time to find other machines I might access... so there are quite a few possibilities left. I've even searched on the web for an offer, but they're so damn expensive I don't know much about the technical stuff. Is it possible to host several ZD-games one the same server? If so, maybe we could club together with other mappers and hire a server. But I also see, that this would require some organisation, to prevent that somebody gets left with the costs, when others can't or don't want to pay... Let's hope, the admins aren't too keen on cleaning up their servers... maybe we can additionally run a scientific program on it, like searching for alien signals or something, so they think, it's all very scientific what we're doing there. At least the name of "Zodiac" would contribute to a scientific appearance... _________________ Musique! I need such a thing anyway to host my and other peoples websites and for educational purposes. Running a ZD server is just some side effect of having such a thing. And I think we don´t have to be afraid about the current servers as long as I have remote access to the machines. I will restart them anyway even on a different machine if necessary I only hope that they don´t get it that I´m not at that university anymore and kill my login account. But as long as I don´t return my access card they won´t get it Besides that I think that I will get access to the machines at the university I´m currently studying on soon. Maybe I can setup servers there too. I just refreshed all servers in the launcher. Guess what, my servers weren´t listed anymore. I just connected to the machines and checked the process list, the program runs fine. Don´t know what´s going on. But I´ll have to analyze that phenomenon later cause I´ve got to go to bed now. Unfortunately I have to announce that I´m no longer able to host servers. My account at the university doesn´t exist anymore. Due to the fact that I´ve got a job by now I might soon have a own dedicated server. Let´s see, I´m looking forward...
